Coach, Writer, and Speaker
I’m an Autism mom, author, certified resilience and emotional intelligence coach, and entrepreneur. In 2008, I was diagnosed with chronic depression and anxiety. About two years later, I was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder. For the next several years, I lived in denial of my diagnosis and tried to hide it from any and every person I thought might judge me and write me off.
After the death of a loved one and a particularly rough bout with postpartum depression and anxiety following the birth of my second child, Bipolar Disorder demanded I pay attention to its existence in my life.
“Making peace” with and becoming a student of my diagnosis, I decided to join the effort to destigmatize mental illness, especially within the black community where many are more likely to go untreated or receive less than adequate mental healthcare.
I have been featured on The Intentional Woman Show with Camille Dangerfield (on Roku TV) and been a guest speaker at several women’s events, virtually and in person.

Hey, Champion! Welcome and thank you for visiting Resilience Everyday where I encourage women living with chronic mental illness to choose a resilient mindset and lifestyle in spite of their diagnoses.
